I just got back from Mindo, where on September 12th, 13th, and 14th, nine other students from Oregon joined me in exploring one of Ecuador’s greatest cloud-forests. Mindo is a small town in the forests NW of Quito, where everybody knows everybody. At night, we wandered around, watched a group of drummers perform on the street, and played soccer with locals in the town square. During the day, we hiked to lush forests and rushing waterfalls, soared over the forest canopy in a cable-car, and went to a gigantic hummingbird garden. Here are a few photos:
